The Growing Programme

The Growing Programme is designed around the members of the programme and will remain flexible depending on the group and there issues and ideas. However the programme will challenge and test you. The aim of this part of the programme is to help you to see issues from different perspectives, learn new ways of thinking and to see new ideas and opportunities.

The Growing Programme will include a mix of one off workshops and larger planned events. This mix will ensure that the maximum benefits are given to all people in the group. Each event and workshop will aim to demonstrate the issue or concept being explored through different learning styles.

The Program has already run workshops and events including a workshop on marketing and the use of LOVEMARKS, set up and run an interactive farm in the centre of Norwich and undertaken a study tour to Yorkshire.

The future direction of this part of the programme is up to you.

Rules

The Growing programme is a self governing programme ware the members of the group set the rules which have to be followed. However it is expected that all members of the Programme will attend at least 60% of the events held each year. This is to ensure that all members can benefit from the other members of the programme.

You may remain a full member of the FBF for as long as you feel you are getting a benefit from it. This may be six months or 3 years. As a member you are eligible to apply for the Growing Business Award. If you have been a member of the FBF for over a year and have then decided you wish to leave the programme you will be eligible to apply for the competition for up to five years.

Communication

All information about the Programme will be provided through the Norfolk Rural Business Advice Service web site (www.ruraladvice.co.uk).  Personal communication during the programme you will be contacted primarily through e-mail.
