Norfolk Rural Forum

Norfolk Rural ForumNorfolk Rural Forum was established in August 2006 to bring together those sectors with a rural focus or interest with a view to improving communications and understanding between them. The Forum reports to the East of England Rural Forum and is thus provided with a direct link to regional and national government on rural issues and concerns.

The Forum:

is a lobby on behalf of Norfolks rural areas at local, regional and national level and takes county views to the East of England Rural Forum;
:will establish ways of monitoring performance of relevant organisations/partnerships against the agreed priorities and objectives on issues of concern to Norfolks rural communities;
:facilitates the exchange of information and best practice to ensure that it is shared and disseminated through networking, including with other county rural forums, existing rural networks and non-member organisations;
:promotes rural proofing within key relevant organisations in the county and seeks to influence those organisations;
:encourages relevant rural research.
